Alot of places claim to have a 7.3l oil pan gasket, but when you try it ends up not even being close. Get a tube of the sealant from Ford its like 15-20 bucks and do it right. Since the pan wasn't designed to be used with a gasket, you really need to ask if the bolt pattern is sufficient to seal the pan with only a gasket.
