WebSep 19, 2005 · I'm not sure about when they started with GT40s on the Explorer (probably since the first V8 model?), but they went to GT40Ps in mid '97. Ported and polished stockers would fall short against some GT40s or Ps that were also ported, but they can be made to flow pretty decent.
